8. Collagen recipes for soups and stews

Adding collagen to soups and stews is also very popular. The dish is first cooked as usual according to the recipe. Afterwards, add 1 tablespoon of collagen per plate and stir until dissolved. One idea, for example, is a coconut Thai soup (low carb) with collagen.
Ingredients for coconut Thai soup (ketogenic and low carb)
- 400 ml vegetable broth
- 200 ml coconut milk (from a can)
- 100 g shrimp, or tofu for a vegetarian alternative

- Add collagen powder and stir until fully dissolved.
- Pour everything through a fine sieve and return it to the pot.
- Add the shrimp (or tofu) and sliced mushrooms.
9. Collagen powder in dressings, dips, and sauces
Collagen has the wonderful property of fitting in everywhere taste-wise. Dips, sauces, and dressings can also be enhanced and enriched with high-quality protein.
In principle, 1–2 tablespoons of collagen powder can be added to dressings and dips as desired. If it becomes too thick, simply dilute it a little with water or another liquid. Here is an example recipe for a “Thai-style collagen dip for vegetables.”
Equipment
- Mixing bowl
- Fine grater
- Citrus press
Ingredients
- 4 tbsp almond butter without additives
- 2 tbsp full-fat coconut milk
- 2 tsp maple syrup or honey
- 1–2 tbsp Glow25 Collagen Powder
- 2 tsp freshly grated ginger
- 1 tsp red / green curry paste
- 1 tsp tamari gluten-free soy sauce
- 1 tsp fresh lime juice
- Water for thinning
Instructions
- In a small bowl, combine almond butter, coconut milk, maple syrup / honey, ginger, curry paste, tamari, and lime juice.
- Add collagen powder and stir until dissolved.
- Add a little water if the consistency is too thick.
- Serve with vegetable sticks or salads.
Note
Curry pastes vary in spice level depending on color and brand. Start mild and increase the heat according to your taste.
Collagen powder as a daily companion
Many celebrities, models, and health-conscious people therefore rely on taking collagen powder every day. The advantage: collagen powder is exceptionally versatile in how it can be used.
Unlike marine collagen, which can have a fishy aftertaste, collagen from grass-fed cattle, like our Glow collagen, is completely neutral in taste. It can be mixed into almost all dishes and drinks and usually gives them a wonderfully creamy consistency.
Collagen recipes are versatile because the protein is heat-stable
The fact that heat is not a problem for collagen makes it even more attractive as an ingredient in recipes. While most other proteins are damaged at around 50 °C, collagen can withstand much higher temperatures. To be exact, temperatures up to 300 °C are absolutely no problem for collagen. The reason: a collagen peptide contains a large number of amino acids. The greater the number of amino acids, the more stable the peptide. An ideal ingredient for baking and cooking.((https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/21723833/))
When should you take collagen?
Rather than focusing on the time of day, what matters much more is taking collagen regularly. Once or twice daily is ideal.
Whether you take it in your morning coffee, at lunch in a shake, or in a stew in the evening is ultimately not very significant. Collagen recipes are simply versatile.
Can you enhance the effects of collagen?
A healthy diet with little sugar and plenty of vitamin C is recommended. For that reason, these collagen recipes do not contain sugar.
Sugar can actually do great damage. In a process called glycation, it reacts with fats and proteins in the body and damages them. Undesirable “advanced glycation endproducts (AGEs)” are formed. A good reason to drastically reduce sugar consumption.
Vitamin C also plays a key role in relation to collagen. The body can only utilize collagen when vitamin C is available. Taking them at the same time is not necessary, however. Here too, regular daily intake is what matters. Acerola, peppers, berries, leafy greens, and citrus fruits are all rich in vitamin C. It is therefore advantageous to include them in your collagen recipes or simply in your daily diet.
Collagen recipes: a high-quality protein as an ingredient for many meals
Collagen powder is suitable as an ingredient for cold, hot, sweet, and savory foods. In principle, for almost everything. The important thing is that the dish contains some liquid so the powder can be stirred in. The quality of the ingredients used should also always be high.
